Friday nights 9:00 to midnight in downtown San Mateo — salsa, bachata and cumbia with a live DJ.
The Peninsula does not have many Latin rooms this consistent, and this one is deliberately beginner-friendly: most of the floor came out of the 7:00 and 8:00 classes the same evening, so nobody is judging your basic.
Free parking garage across the street. Come alone; you will not stay alone for long.
