Monday Bachata — Beginner Level

Bachata from scratch in West Oakland, Mondays 7:00 to 8:00, followed by social dancing. In Lak'ech teaches without assumed gender roles — come learn to lead, to follow, or both, whichever you actually want. Founded by world champions Jahaira Fajardo and Angelica Medina, this is the first queer salsa and bachata academy in the country, and the room is as welcoming as that suggests. No partner and no experience required.
