About Event
A two-day Yosemite trip with overnight lodging just outside the park — the version of the Yosemite experience that gives you actual time in the valley rather than a punishing day-trip dash. Two relaxed days, a lodge stay between them, and itinerary depth that a same-day return simply doesn't allow.
Day one heads east from San Francisco through the Sierra foothills into Yosemite. You arrive with daylight to spare and explore the valley floor — viewpoints over El Capitan, Half Dome, and Bridalveil Fall, the meadows of Yosemite Valley, and the kind of late-afternoon light that turns the granite walls gold. You overnight at a lodge near the park entrance.
Day two starts with a morning hike — typically to a sequoia grove or a valley viewpoint that day-trippers can't reach — and continues with more time in the park before the return drive to San Francisco. Pace is meaningfully more humane than the single-day version.
Highlights:
• Two days inside Yosemite National Park
• Overnight lodging near the park entrance
• Valley viewpoints: El Capitan, Half Dome, Bridalveil Fall
• Morning hike to a sequoia grove or trail viewpoint
• Round-trip transport from San Francisco
Good to know: a multi-day itinerary. Pack for layered conditions — cool mornings, warm afternoons. Comfortable walking shoes for the trails. Lodge accommodations are simple and clean rather than luxury.
