External Relations Officer – UIS Switzerland Chapter
Important: This is a volunteer position. The UIS executive team operates on a voluntary basis.
Time required: 3 hours per week.
United Italian Societies (UIS) Switzerland is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented individual to join our External Relations team. As an External Relations Officer, you will play a pivotal role in organizing impactful events with external speakers and fostering relationships with key stakeholders, such as institutions, firms, and other organizations. This role offers a unique opportunity to connect Italian students and young professionals in Switzerland with inspiring figures and valuable resources.
Responsibilities
Organize events featuring external speakers, such as industry professionals, academics, and leaders in business, to inspire and engage the UIS Switzerland community.
Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including firms, Italian institutions, and other organizations, ensuring ongoing collaboration and mutual benefit.
Act as a primary point of contact for external speakers and partners, managing communication and coordination to ensure successful event planning and execution.
Collaborate with the Global External Relations team to identify potential speakers and stakeholders who align with UIS values and goals.
Support the development of long-term partnerships that enhance the UIS network and its mission of connecting Italian talent abroad.
Who We Are Looking For
An Italian student or young professional based in Switzerland who is passionate about fostering meaningful connections between Italian talent and external stakeholders.
An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining professional relationships.
Proactive and organized, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
A team player who thrives in collaborative environments and brings energy and enthusiasm to their work.
Experience in event planning, relationship management, or stakeholder engagement is a plus but not required.
