🇮🇹 Become a UIS Member to join a community of 11,000+ Italian students abroad and access all our services and events!

United Italian Societies (UIS) is a non-profit organization that supports, promotes, and represents Italian university students abroad. Over 60 Italian societies across 7 different countries have joined our network and collaborate with us to deliver events and services. The ultimate goal of our organization is to help Italian high school students from underprivileged backgrounds achieve their goal of studying abroad by providing scholarships and tutoring.

Note: Before becoming a UIS member, make sure you register and buy the membership of your local Italian society. It really helps in supporting their efforts in building an Italian student community abroad.

By becoming a UIS member, you will have free access to all our services programmes to support your academic journey abroad. Here is a list of what we offer to our members:

  • UIS Mentoring Programme: connect with Italian professionals that have been in your shoes to support the beginning of your professional career.

  • UIS Job Board (ITAlent): find a job of your interest with our employers partners, looking to hire talent from our network.

  • Bureaucratic Support (Studenti unITi): receive support from our team regarding any bureaucratic issues you may have when living abroad. We are ready to find a solution with you and eventually connect with Italian institutions for more complex cases.

  • UIS Research Centre: join our student-led think tank! Our research centre is a hub for PhD students within our network interested in developing their research interests working alongside bachelor and masters students. The initiative also allows students interested in an academic career to publish their research articles and gain experience for their Masters' or PhD applications.

  • Italian Symposium: access our flagship event, meeting illustrious Italian individuals and engaging with them.

  • Events: from aperitivos and Italian parties to Italian Galas, by becoming a member you can gain access to our events and connect with Italian students from different universities. Sometimes these events will require the purchase of a ticket. This is to allow UIS to achieve break-even and eventually re-invest the profits in our programmes. UIS events really help us in maintaining most of what we can offer free to our student members.
